At Master Car Rentals/Rent Car In Crete, we believe in transparency and a smooth rental experience. This policy outlines our rates and cancellation terms to ensure you're fully informed before booking your rental car in Crete. Here, you'll find details about our pricing structure, any applicable fees, and the timeframe for cancellations with a full refund.
Please note: Specific rates and cancellation windows may vary depending on the car type, rental duration, and season. For the most up-to-date information, refer to your chosen car's details during the booking process.
INSURANCE COVERAGE (Included in our Rates)
- CDW Collision Damage Waiver
- FDW FULL Damage Waiver
- TP Third Party Liability in compliance with current legislation
- TPW – Theft Protection Waiver with Excess
- Glass /Tires Waiver (GTW)
- Road Assistance all over Crete
- PAI – Personal Accident & Medical Insurance
PLEASE NOTE: There is NO Insurance Coverage in the following cases:
- Violation of the Greek Traffic Law (Red Lights-Stop Signs etc)
- Use of Drugs or Alcohol
- damages underneath the vehicle and in the cabin caused by renter’s culpability or negligence.
- Driving on unpaved road(offroad drivining)
- driving to prohibited areas/countries
- obvious acts of disregards to the vehicle
*The renter will be responsible for the full amount of charges.
Drivers Age: 23 to 79 Years
Young Drivers Age: 21 to 22 Years Charge 4.5 EUR per Day (Maximum 35 EUR).Young drivers surcharge is not included in the rental price. It is paid in the local currency at the rental desk. Reservations were driver is less than 23 years old are subjected to confirmation.
Drivers License:
Drivers must hold a valid license for at least one (1) year. National Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia,Ukraine are accepted. An International Driving License is required in all other cases.
Additional Driver: Maximum additional drivers 2.
Charge per additional driver: 2 EUR per Day (Maximum 30 EUR).
Special Equipment / Optional Extras (Upon Request)
Booster seat: 2 EUR per Day, MAX €15
Toddler Seat: € 3 per day, MAX €25
GPS - Satellite Navigational System: 5 EUR per Day MAX €50.
-Special Equipment/ Optional extras must be requested at the time of booking, and are included in the rental price. All prices inlcude 24% VAT.
Roadside Assistance: Roadside Assistance is free of charge and available. it is recommended to contact our office directly in the event of required roadside assistance.
Fees:
Airport Fee: Included in ALL locations.
After-hours deliveries (23:00 - 07:00) are subject to a €20 charge payable on arrival.
Fuel Policy:
Pick up at least 1/4, Return same amount.
No refunds will be given for unused fuel.
Optionally you can request Full Tank to return empty at an extra cost.
Mileage Policy:
Unlimited mileage for all reservations
Ferrying The Vehicle & Across the Border Rentals:
All international cross border travel prohibited.
Tax Rate
24% Included in All Rates and Special Equipment/Optional Extras

Booking Procedure and Payment Options
Our Booking Reservation system presents you with real-time vehicle Availability.
You can select your desired vehicle-group and proceed to booking confirmation.
Upon completing your personal details you will be presented with the following payment-confirmation options.
Pre-Pay Reservation
You can pay the whole amount of the reservation. This payment can be made by Debit Card.
Please note that your Card will be charge only if the booking will be confirmed.
Leave a Deposit
You can secure your booking by paying a small deposit against the rental. This payment can be made by Debit Card.
The remaining amount can be paid by Debit Card or Cash upon collecting your vehicle.
Car Types
The vehicles displayed and models listed are the most common vehicles in the category. We will provide you with either this car or similar cars in size and engine type.
We cannot guarantee that the make or model of the rental vehicle will be the same as the vehicle displayed on our website. Upon request we may be able to provide you with specific model.
Required When Collecting your Vehicle
Please make sure you present the following at the rental desk:
Voucher
Your e-Voucher or a printed version of your voucher must be presented when collecting the car.
Driving License
A Valid Driving License for main driver and additional drivers
Photo ID
Passport or National ID, Driving License.
Key Loss
The customer is liable for all costs to replace keys
which have been lost or damaged,the cost of retrieval of keys which have been locked inside a vehicle.
Cancellation Policy
Free cancellations up to 48 hours before pick up date. No cancellations are allowed after the pick-up date and time.
Accident
In case of an accident, the renter must contact our company in order to receive instructions . You are not allowed to leave the incident place without reporting the accident. If the renter fails to provide the report to our company then he is obliged to pay for repairing costs of any damage caused to the rental vehicle. If the driver or one of the passengers is injured you should also inform the police and call an ambulance. If the other involved party leaves the accident place, take a photo or write down the plate number. We will also call our insurance partner for the accident report. Driving under the influence of alcohol and violating traffic rules is prohibited.
Car Replacement
Use of car
Reporting Damage The renter must inspect the vehicle upon receipt and report any damage to the rental company or local authorities immediately without moving the vehicle. All relevant information and photographs must be provided to facilitate a complete incident report.
Failure to Report Damage If the renter fails to report damage within two hours, they will be deemed responsible and liable for repair costs.
No Accident Reports Upon Return Accident or damage reports will not be accepted upon return of the vehicle without prior notification.
Renter Liability The rental company may claim compensation from the renter for damages caused in the following circumstances:
- Unauthorized Road Use: Operating the vehicle on any unauthorized road, non-asphalt road, dirt road, or off-road terrain (e.g., Balos), intentionally or unintentionally.
- Traffic Rule Violations: Violating traffic rules, including stop signs, speed limits, road directions, U-turns, illegal passing, or double line passing.
- Driver Error: Distracted driving, misjudging a course, or driving off the road.
- Parking Violations: Violating parking rules.
- Prohibited Vehicle Use: Using the vehicle in a race, speed test, rally, or contest, or for commercial purposes (e.g., taxi or courier service).
- Unauthorized Drivers: Allowing an unauthorized driver to operate the vehicle, including those without a valid driver's license, those not listed on the rental agreement, or those under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Willful or Reckless Use: Intentionally or recklessly damaging the vehicle, including damage to doors, body, clutch, gearbox, interior, or caused by animals or sitting/standing on the vehicle.
